เป็นโฟมโพลีเอธิลีนที่ผ่านการฉายรังสี เนื้อโฟมมีความอ่อนนุ่ม และมีความยืดหยุ่นค่อนข้างดี สามารถป้องกันการกระแทก และสัมผัสเสียดสีได้ดีมาก มีคุณสมบัติพิเศษในการป้องกันเสียง และนำเอามาทำเป็นฉนวนกันความร้อน จะป้องกันความร้อนได้ดี ใช้รองพื้นงานไม้ลามิเนต หรือผลิตเป็นเสื่อสำหรับเล่นโยคะ เป็นต้น โฟมมีน้ำหนักค่อนข้างเบา ใช้งานง่าย รองรับการกระแทกได้ดี
